Mother's Day Out
Goddard United Methodist Church is a congregation that has an abiding interest in the young children and families of the community. We seek to meet their needs through togetherness in joy, sorrow, and caring, sharing, learning and Christ-like relationships with one another.
Established in 1982, our Mother’s Day Out ministry provides a safe, positive learning environment for children from six weeks through four years. We are focused on socialization and peer interaction, as well as, daily hands-on experiences with materials and activities that are developmentally appropriate. This is accomplished through learning centers, group time, art activities, outdoor play, music, etc.
Goddard Mother’s Day Out is state licensed and adheres to meet the highest standards in Early Childhood Development.
Preschool
Goddard Preschool was established in 1985 to provide a Christian environment in which children have opportunities to develop socially, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Its purpose is to bridge the gap between the normal dependence of a three-year-old and the necessary independence of a child entering kindergarten.
We believe that the preschool years should be a happy interlude to the school years. Our program is one in which the children are loved, nurtured, and encouraged to explore the world around them.
Our teachers are dedicated to the development of the total child, enabling each student to progress at his or her own rate with the fundamentals of a sound age and developmentally appropriate educational background. We provide a variety of learning experiences through art, literature, music and movement, dramatic play, outdoor play, weekly chapel time, field trips, and hands-on experiences with many different manipulative and materials. Above all, we strive to show the children that they are special and loved regardless of appearance, personality, or capability.
