Hello, my name is Greg Pair Jr.  I am the Youth/Childrens Minister at Goddard United Methodist Church.  I am 25 years old and have worked in ministry for 6 years.  I am married and have two beautiful daughters. 

                I attended high school at Greenwood High School and graduated in 1999.  From there I went to Russellville and attended Arkansas Tech University.  While in college I was involved in various ministries at the ATU Wesley Foundation, as well as served as part time youth minister at Dover United Methodist church for a combined total of two years.  I graduated from Arkansas Tech in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications and a minor in Philosophy.  Following graduation I took a position at the Arkansas Tech University Wesley Foundation as the Assistant Director.  I worked at the Wesley Foundation for 2 years.  In May of 2005 I moved back to Greenwood and was hired as the Youth Minister at Greenwood United Methodist Church.  I worked at Greenwood until my hiring at Goddard.  I started at Goddard United Methodist church on January 2, 2007. 

                Enough about me, what is really important is the ministry that will take place and what your children will receive.  I would like to start with what is important to me in ministering to youth.  I believe that it is extremely important that I help these youth to understand and realize our Christian faith and that of the Methodist church.  I hope through teaching, study, discussion, worship and fellowship to give the youth the tools they need to live in this world today.  My goal is to make disciples out of the youth in order that they will see the scriptures come alive in their lives.  Also, that  they will live life as Christ lived it and understand the difference between making good choices and bad choices and how their choices will affect the rest of their lives.   I know that the youth of today have stressful lives and enjoy having fun.  I myself enjoy having fun.  However, I think I would be cheating the Lord as well as the youth if that is all we do when we get together for youth.  We will have our times of fun and laughter, but more importantly our times of spiritual growing and learning.
